  • I'll look at the brakes, gears, running condition of all of the major components, wheels for true, tyres for condition and inflation and clean the drivetrain.

  • The bike will have fresh cables, pads, drivetrain parts as required fitted under this service. All of the aspects of the basic will be covered plus more extensive cleaning, aligning and checking of all major components.

  • I'll come and look the bike over and tell you what needs doing. If you go ahead with the recommended work or service then I waive the £10 call out fee.

  • This is a service where I can come to you with all the equipment to either repair an old inner tube or replace it and get it to the correct pressure.

If you're having repeat puncture issues or just don't have the right tools I'll be able to help.

I'll check the tyre for sharp objects that might be stuck, the rim tape for movement or failure and take you through tyre options if it's perished, worn out or you just want something more sturdy.

  • This service covers the tuning of gears and checking of wear to chain, chainrings and other elements of the drivetrain. I will also check derailleurs for wear. Electronic gearing needing an update will be charged separately to a basic gear service.

  • Sometimes it is possible to straighten a rear derailleur hanger (mech hanger) which can be cheaper than buying the sacrificial part again as the average at £20 and if it's part of your frame then it will be very costly to be able to run derailleur gears again.

  • Setting up of new or aligning of old mechanically operated brakes, including the installation of new pads.

  • This service covers the stripping of an old headset and its replacement, the fitting of forks or the cleaning up and reassembly of an old headset.

  • This service covers the removal of an old bottom bracket for either servicing or replacement and in the event of a BB needing fitting into a new bike the frame will be faced first too.

  • This service covers realigning electronic gearing and using diagnostic equipment in order to troubleshoot faults, custom tune and run updates.

  • In this service, I strip the drivetrain area (bottom bracket and crankset included). I clean the dirt and grime away, grease (if necessary) re-fit/ assemble and then apply lubricant (again, as necessary). If the items being removed are in need of attention for other issues then these will be addressed under separate labour charges (it isn't worth cleaning if it doesn't work).

  • This service covers all the work in either stripping a bike of all of its components, servicing all working aspects and assembling again/ swapping all parts from one frame to another.

  • This service includes the stripping of old parts and the wheels from the bike and then the set-up and inflation of new tubeless tyres, with fresh sealant and tape (where needed).

  • This service covers the removal of old seals and fluids and their replacement in forks and shocks. Parts are additional.

  • This service covers the building and setting up of a bike to a safe standard from a box.

  • This service covers the removal of axle assemblies and bearings from hubs either for servicing or replacement. As with other services, parts are additional.

  • This service covers the removal of old and fitting of new bearings/ bushes in full-suspension mountain bikes or folding bikes.

  • This service covers the building of a wheel from the individual component parts; hub, spokes, rim. I will research spoke length for you and build the wheel in various spoking patterns upon request.

  • This service covers the same as a wheel true but only after the broken spoke has been removed (which may include the removal of the gearing cluster) and it has been replaced with the correct size and type. The cost of the spoke is extra.

  • This service covers the removal of the wheel from the bicycle, checking spoke tension, straightening the wheel and checking for up-and-down and dish.

  • This is a full system bleed for hydraulic brakes. The fluid and any parts required will be extra.

  • For the service that's rather unknown before you begin; a thing is stuck, a creak is emanating from somewhere on the bike or a bearing or bush needs removing from the linkage of a full-suspension bike or pivot on a folding bike... these things are hard to give a fixed timeframe to.
